Happy Holidays Archers! Here’s What’s to Come

Dec 24, 2020News

Well, we’re in the last stretch of 2020. We here at Archery For Beginners want to wish you all Happy Holidays! Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, or whatever it may be, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

2020 In Review

2020 has been a difficult year for most of us. The pandemic has impacted millions of people all around the world. We’ve experienced a huge loss of life, massive job losses, and distance from those we love most. As dire as it may seem, just know that this will pass and a brighter future will emerge.

Archery For Beginners was founded this year as a way to bring joy back into a dark time. I’ve shot archery for over 30 years and have personally come to realize the many benefits archery can provide. It’s a sport that provides exercise, time in nature, community/friendships, confidence, competitiveness, and much more.

What’s great is you can enjoy most of these benefits by yourself. This is especially prevalent during these times of social distancing. Archery For Beginners was created to bring these benefits to those looking for a way to enjoy their time. By gaining proficiency now, you’ll immediately start enjoying the benefits and begin building friendships once the pandemic has passed.

Archery Foundations

Two weeks ago, we recorded all the content necessary for our first archery course, Archery Foundations. This course is designed to help shorten the learning curve to save you years of trial and error. The total amount of content hasn’t quite been calculated, but we’re looking around 40 plus videos and hours of high-value content. To give you an idea of what it will cover, here’s a quick overview:

Course Overview:

  • Archery Gear & Accessories: We’ll be covering the different types of bows, anatomy of a bow, different types of arrows and their anatomy, different types of release options, and many other accessories you will need.
  • Choosing Your Archery Style & Equipment: This section helps you narrow down on which style you want to shoot, finding your dominant eye, determining your draw length, bow length, draw weight, finding the right arrows, and all the accessories you will need for each style.
  • Range Rules and Safety Precautions: This section will cover some of the rules you’ll find at an archery range, bow safety, and arrow safety. This section will help prepare you to shoot at an archery range while staying safe.
  • Shot Sequence Breakdown: This section covers the 11 step shooting process from beginning to end. This is an in-depth look at the process and what you need to shoot an arrow with consistency and accuracy.
  • Practicing: This section walks you through archery practice so you know how to practice effectively.
  • Sighting in Your Bow: Sighting in your bow for the first time can be a little confusing and this section covers how you go about making adjustments to your sights.
  • Extra Tips: No course would be complete without a bunch of little tips and tricks I’ve learned across the years. From archery lingo to tools you’ll need out on the range, it’s all here!

This is just a quick overview and I will be showing, in much greater detail, what’s in the course as we prepare for launch. If you’d like to take advantage of the 25% limited-time discount, just visit the Archery Foundations page, enter your name and email, and we’ll reach out once the course is launched with your exclusive discount.

Looking Towards the Future

Looking ahead into 2021 and beyond, we’ll be focusing on bringing you the best archery content possible. Next up, we’re building a Tuning & Repair Essentials course. This course will teach you how to tune and repair most of your own bow equipment. So, stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated as things progress. For now, take advantage of your discount for the Foundations course, stay safe, and we’ll see you next year!
